Burning smell in the morning

Once awhile, I got this funny smell in the early morning before I go to work. Initially I thought someone is burning rubbish so early in the morning. Long before I moved in, someone who stayed here in Taman Putra Prima wrote in a forum saying that the factories nearby Taman Mas are releasing smoke at night. But surprisingly some residents at TPP are denying that bad smell ever existed.

Just the other day when I consulted doctor for my cough and cold, the doctor told me that she knew where the smell came from. She also stayed in Tmn Putra Prima and said that the smell is coming from the burning tyres. She claimed that the foreigners stayed here burned tyres to prevent mosquito. I wonder why she never complained to the authority when she witnessed the tyres burning.

In my short conversation with the doctor, I did not manage to ask her which part of TPP that the tyres burning came from, sigh....I suspect that it comes from the industry area at Taman Mas. If you guys are reading this please share your experience and put a stop on it. I can make a complain to MPS but must have proof. Shall I go ask the doctor instead.....

Beware of dogs!

Just yesterday we read a sad news whereby a jogger was killed by a Pit bull dog at Subang Jaya. This poor man never thought that having jogged in his own housing area for the past 20 years will meet such a tragedy. Just over the weekend I saw some of the residents are bringing out their dogs for walk at the taman and some do not even have the dog chained and let them roam free.

My wife encountered an incident not long before that being followed by a dog from the playground back to her house. Luckily nothing untoward happened. I wish and hope dog owners and dog lovers always keep an eye on your pets and if you let them out of your house please make sure that it is not unchained. You never know when and how the dogs will behave. I think no one from us will wish to read another news of dog killer anymore. Dogs are men best friend and not nightmare.

Shocking Majlis Perbandaran Sepang letter

Today I am shocked to receive a letter (unsealed and no stamp) in my mailbox from Majlis Perbandaran Sepang. I wonder why MPS dropped an unsealed letter into my mailbox?

The letter heading: Notis Pindaan Senarai Nilaian (Seksyen 144). It says my property now assessed on nilai tahunan as RM4,920 and from July 2012 onwards I have to pay cukai tahunan of RM361.62!!

My cukai pintu previously was RM53.20 a year with an assessment of nilai taksiran of RM1,330. That is an increase of 6x what I have to pay now! It said that because I have done renovation to my house, so the nilai hartanah had increased. My God, I only extend the back yard and I do not even extend the upper floor. It is an intermediate unit and suddenly my property become Bungalow!!

What a shocking surprise and I wonder you all got the same letter because most of us do extend the back yard. Please comment if you do receive the same letter. I am going to call MPS tommorow to find out what the hell they are trying to do?

BERSIH 3.

Today is the Bersih 3.0 rally. I had been following the news since morning till afternoon. Anyone of you go there? It really surprised me how this rally turned into fanfare where peoples wear masks, colorful cloths and in good mood. Well at least from the photo captured from the Star online, peoples who gathered are in a joyful mood.

It is not that violent and dangerous as it is portrayed in the mass media for the pass few days. It only turned violent a little when the crowd tried to break the barricades put up by the police and water canon and tear gas are fired to the crowd.

Sometimes in a democratic country, protest and demonstration are inevitable and only when it is provoked that violence will result. In this case the crowd provoked the police and they reacted. This rule apply when we live in a neighborhood. When we are nice to our neighbors, they will be nice to us and if we are hostile to them, then nobody wanted to talk to us.

It can be simple and easy living together harmoniously if everyone of us respect each other and compromising among ourselves. It is not always easy to find peoples who share the same thought, be the same opinion with us, but if we can respect each other opinion and not rubbish peoples when they are not in the same wavelength, then there will be peace.

Just like the Bersih 3.0, if the crowd respected the police and not entered the Dataran compound, I believe no untoward incident will happen or vice-versa, if the police allowed them to sit at Dataran and leave after 2 hours, what harm will it do to the country? Peoples might argue that violence might happen if the police allowed the crowd to move in. Well it is like clapping with both hands, if one side is not provoking the other, do you think you will hear clapping sound?

Back to the story of living together, respecting each other, compromising, tolerance and give and take is what we need to have harmonious neighborhood. Force, aggression and intimidation will only bring temporary submission but in the long run, the relationship definitely will not last.

Public Transport

Friends,

Anyone there to advise me on public transport available in area?

I would like to know:

1. Bus details - which bus passes by the taman
2. Call taxi numbers?

Really appreciate your kind response on the above.

Thanks!!

Mosquito fogging - are they real?

At about noon today, there are people coming to my house wanted to do mosquito fogging. They asked me to close all the door and windows before fogging take place. What puzzle me was that they only do fogging in front of my house and my neighbours but not the whole taman.

They didn't even go to the back lane for fogging and leave after a while. Who are these peoples, are they real and from MPS?

Permanent fencing between 8A and 8B

The developer is building the permanent fencing separating Phase 8A and 8B. Finally my worried is over as initially it was informed that there will be no fencing between the new phase and old phase as we are sharing the playground and garden.

The temporary green zinc fencing is in a sorry state and we are exposed to any intruder along the whole stretch of the garden especially after the key hand over. There will be at least 6 months before there is anybody move in to the new house. Imagine the horror of having a wide opening for anyone to pass thru the taman without anyone noticing.

I still wonder how the Phase 8B residents can use the playground since there is no playground at the new phase. There must be a door (unlock door) for them to come in....??
